Services

3-D cell/tissue organoid-models are engineered from primary human, veterinary or insect cell lines. We strive to develop the models with cell lines obtained from commercial sources or developed from in-house proprietary cell lines.

In those cases, where cell lines are not commercially available, we will contact commercial sources to acquire tissues with IRB/IACUC approved protocols. Relevant cells are isolated from the targeted in vivo tissue. These cells are propagated, characterized and utilized in the model development.

Our 3-D cell/tissue model service package:

Cell Systems 3-D scientists, collaborate with the investigator to design an unique prototype 3-D in vitro cell/tissue organoid- like model specific to their requirements. Cell lines are acquired, propagated and the 3-D model is engineered using Good Tissue Practices (GTP).

Cell Systems 3-D service package provides to the investigator:

  • Consultation throughout the design process
  • Acquisition of relevant cells
  • Engineering of the 3-D model within our laboratory
  • 3 prototype models and 3 investigative models
  • Phenotype and functionality characterization of  all cells and 3-D model
  • Shipment of the 3-D model to the investigator

We provide the investigator the prototype 3-D cell/tissue organoid-like model within 60 to 90 days for initial evaluation.  We deliver up to 2 additional prototype 3-D models, as  needed, for the investigator’s final approval. Upon approval, 3 investigative  3-D models are delivered on a monthly basis.

The cost for design, bioengineering, phenotypic and functionality characterization, 3 prototype and 3 investigative  models is between  $(USD) 75,000 to  100,000 dependent  on tissue complexity . Additional same-tissue investigative 3-D models are provided for a nominal charge.

the Next Generation of Cell-Tissue Culture

All cell lines used in the model's development are routinely frozen back to ensure cell passage continuity and model uniformity. Databases on all model developmental and functional characteristics are maintained and available for post-experiment analysis. Models developed in our laboratory are shipped overnight to the investigator.
